Review:
The Ostrich Boys is an adventure type book which tells the story of three teenage boys' struggle to get to grips with the death of their best friend. The book begins in Cleethorpes, in England, where, after a disastrous funeral, friends, Blake, Kenny and Sim decide they must do something to celebrate their friends life properly. So they set off on a 261 mile journey, from their hometown in England to a place their dead friend has always wanted to go. Ross in Scotland....a place with the same name as him. Along the way there is plenty of mishaps and trouble but the three friends stick it out to the bitter end. I love the way this story portrays the extremes some people will go through for their friends. Keith Gray has done a really good job of blending a mix of good characters, good settings and a wonderful storyline together with a shattering loss and humor. I think that this book is a must read.
