Review:
The story is set in present day Scotland and is about a girl called Helen who one day gets asked to heal a centaur. The centaur and his friends have lost a very important book and she helps them to try and get it back. Helen is about twelve years old and plays the violin but does not want to carry on her Mum's career as a vet. The centaur is Yann and his friends are Rona, who is a selkie, Lavender, who is a fairy, Sapphire, who is a dragon and Catesby the phoenix. The villain of the story is the Master of the Maze and with lots of creatures working for him he is difficult to beat. It is a great adventure story for children around the age of ten. I like the fact that the story is set in Scotland and the characters also visit Edinburgh.
