Review:
This review is on the gripping book by DA Nelson, Darkisle. Darkisle is the thrilling story about a group of freinds who are trying to save their home from an evil sorcerer named Devlish . The main character is, Morag a human girl who is an orphan. she is forced to stay with her cruel foster parents who abuse her by making her work like a slave. This ends when she meets Aldiss the rat (my favourite character) and Bertie the dodo who take her on thier quest to save Shona the dragon who has been turned to stone by Devlish. The book is set in Scotland but not as we know it! It has lots of magical places like an underground magic train and a cafe for witches and wizards. But will the heroic adventurers be able to defeat devlish and save their home...? DA Nelson wrote Darkisle very well and made it a great book that grips you to the last page!
