Review:
I thought this book was fantastic. The best book I have ever read. I like books that have mythical creatures in them and this book had a Dragon and a Dodo, as well as a rat.
The book was about a human called Morag. Morag had foster parents and she found the mythical creatures in her cellar. She found a Dodo called Bertie and a rat called Alldis. They are then sent on a quest and are determined to finish it.
They go to the Island of Murst where the Evil Lord Devilish has been using "The Eye", a type of chrystal ball to destroy the unknown world.
Morag is kidnapped and sold to Devilish's daughter by a giant woman and giant boy. She is taken to Murst Castle where she is given to the Devilish's daughter's maid.
Morag's friends the mythical creatures make a plan to save her by pretending to be Circus entertainers . Once inside the castle they put a potion into the soup. Everyone has soup and the friends save Morag and they go to the room of "The Eye".
The story has a happy ending.
The story had a good pace and kept me wondering what was going to happen next. The characters were described well and I liked Morag and her friends very much.
The baddies were very bad and the author made them seem very unfriendly and unhappy people.
I would recommend this book to both boys and girls who enjoy a good read.
