Review:
I have chosen to review the book Dark Isle by D A Nelson because I found it an addictive and exciting read. What I loved about this book was that there was lots of brilliant characters with lots of different personalities that made you feel many emotions. The part in the book that caught my attention was when Devlish arrives in his gondola and a dual starts out between himself and Morag to win the Eye of Lornish. This part was full of action and the author described the scene with lots of exciting phrases and made you feel although you were part of the whole adventure. The settings were magical, imaginative, quite scary and they often made your toes tingle. The one thing about this book that I didn't like was when I read the words "The End". I think the book Dark Isle should win because every child that has vivid imagination can get totally lost in the author's amazing storyline which has everythingfrom cruel foster parents creepy warlocks. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a little bit of an adventure and magic and who also likes a wee bit of a laugh.
