Review:
I think the book was a very interesting book. I thought the idea of a magical land (Marnoch Mor) that had from dodo’s to leprechauns in it and the use of ancient runes being used as spells was a very good idea. I wasn’t so keen on the bit with slaves it made it a bit weird but all the sleeping potion stuff was a great idea. The feelings really come out in this story and that is why I voted it the best book and am writing about it, feelings really do make a good story whether they be happy or sad or funny it doesn’t really matter. The characters had very prominent characteristics as Bertie the dodo is proud and sensible while Aldiss is a not so sensible but comical rat. My favourite character was Henry the gold medallion, hardly a character but turns out to be one of the most important characters. I always like the way authors turn ordinary names into funny names like Tanktop or Jermy. Overall I would rate this book 5 star.
