Review:
This book is brilliant. It is a war themed tale of two boys who take part in an unholy war. At one end of the story, Salim is sent to be a doctor's apprentice in Jeruslem, but on their way the bump into the Sacaren camp, and are fored to stay. At the other end, Adam, a dog boy, bows to the cross and promises to help Christ reclaim the Holy Land with the other members of the army. Before I read this book, I was expecting a bit of a history lesson, but it is so good that you feel like you are taking part in the story rather than learning about it. This is a great read, and its wars and adventures will keep your pages turning. The way it has been written kept me hooked on it, especially near the end. I read the last one hundred pages in a day.My faviurite part was at the end when Dr Musa, Salim and Adam travel to Jerusalem to get Tibby, after the death of her mother, Adam's friend Jennet. I would recommend this book to everyone, as it is a great book.
