Review:
Bunker 10 is the story of seven teenagers’ (one is actually a 12-year-old) last day at Pinegrove Military Base before it exploded. The base’s main purpose was to carry out scientific research. The book has many themes- from romance to war, which I think almost everyone would enjoy. This tale has so many twists and turns, such as the difference between reality and computer-programs. But kids are not ordinary; all have an IQ of geniuses. They all have projects, one of which is a time-travelling device. The middle of the story uncovers the mysterious Bunker 10, where one of the teenagers has been and not returned for weeks. The ending of the story is slightly unclear to start with but the author soon makes it clear in the end. This book also makes you want to read on, hooking you in with so much suspense and drama. To sum-up, it is a brilliant story that deservers to win the Royal Mail Book Awards ’08 because the author has written a book that has so much to offer.
