20 Teen Books for #MeToo and #TimesUp

When women stand strong, they can conquer the world

With the explosion of #MeToo and #TimesUp, we've reached an important and fascinating point in gender politics. Women of all ages and walks of life, tired of being demeaned, overlooked, harrassed, assaulted and made to feel unsafe in the world they live in are standing up and loudly declaring: 'No more!' These books tap right into the tenor of the moment. They're stories of young women dealing with the fallout of sexual assault, standing up to rampant misogyny, rebelling against expectations or harshly illustrating the minefields women must navigate every day.

Note: Some of these titles contain somewhat explicit content, language and/or themes that some might find distressing.
