10 Books to Celebrate Maths Week Scotland (3-7)

Counting down to a week of maths fun!

To mark the start of the new school year, we’ve gathered together some of our favourite picture books celebrating maths and inspiring everyone to love numbers. If you’re looking for more ideas to support your child’s learning, you can find more activities and tips on the Parentzone website, or join in with the first ever Maths Week Scotland, taking place from 11-17 September, with resources online and events taking place across Scotland. You’ll even find more ideas for books celebrating numbers on their website too.

This list was compiled with Lorna Harvey and Barbara Gray. Lorna and Barbara are both ex-heads of Primary Schools and are now Education Officers for Numeracy and Mathematics at Education Scotland.
