Author details

Gordon Meade

I am a Scottish poet, living in the East Neuk of Fife. As well as my own written work, I have been involved in a number of creative writing projects with vulnerable people in schools, drop-in centres and hospitals. I am presently one of the Royal Literary Writing Fellows at the University of Dundee.

About writer's work

Themes that tend to occur in my work include the natural world, water, landscape and art. At the moment, I am working on a number of poems that will hopefully appear in my next full-length collection.

Current events and projects

I am available to do readings and give creative writing workshops to all ages. I especially enjoy working in schools. I have facilitated three long-term residences at three primary schools in Fife. I have also led creative writing workshops for adults and vulnerable young children in drop-in centres and hospitals, as well as at Universities in Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg.

Sounds of the Real World

Author(s): Gordon Meade
Sounds of the Real World is partly a bestiary, where man and creature are "separated by nothing but a pane of glass".
