Lea's school reports often said ’talks too much,’ evidently a hint of things to come. A freelance storyteller and writer for over 15 years, is passionate about words. As George R R Martin once wrote: A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. A man who never reads lives only one. Lea’s mission is to share her love of reading and writing and inspire others on the way.

Lea’s strength is in her creative versatility, with a background in Community Education she has experience of working with a wide range of groups in different settings. She brings a wealth of skills to any event and has specialist training in literacies. She is adept at planning and evaluating and has great organisational skills.

Lea’s books: Midlothian Folk Tales; Animals beasties and Monsters of Scotland are stimulating classroom reads. Her latest novel The House Beside the Cherry Tree - motherhood doesn’t come easy is better placed with book groups.

“She is well planned, entertaining, informative and her sessions are never never dull” - Midlothian Head Teacher.

“Our group learned so much with Lea and published a great book. Thank you” - Scottish Women’s Aid.
