Ian Blake lives beside the Minch in Wester Ross, looking across to the Outer Isles.

His poems reflect fading traditions of a small crofting community and fascination with characters from fact and fiction. He is a past winner of the Petra Kenney and Neill Gunn prizes. Published in The Scots Magazine, The Spectator, Oxford Today, Northwords Now, Markings, The Scotsman (Poem of The Week), The Herald (Poem of the Day), The Eildon Tree (Fifteen-thirteen) and regularly in Poetry Scotland.
