Catriona Child

Described by the Evening News as "one of the brightest prospects among a thriving breed of fresh Scottish writing talent", Catriona Child is a Scottish writer based in Edinburgh. She has a degree in English from the University of Aberdeen and an MA with distinction in Creative Writing from Lancaster University. Her first novel, Trackman (Luath Press) was published in 2012 and was described by The Herald as having "all the makings of a cult hit". Her second novel Swim Until You Can't See Land (Luath Press) was published in 2014 and charts the relationship between two women born sixty years apart - professional swimmer Hannah Wright and Marièle Downie, a wartime spy in occupied France.

Catriona has taken part in various events, including school workshops for higher pupils, leading an adult creative writing workshop, readings from her novels and giving talks about her writing process.
