Malorie Blackman's Noughts and Crosses series has won awards and acclaim for its intelligent and gripping combination of imaginative storytelling and contemporary relevance. Set in a futuristic dystopia where racism and terrorism prevail, Double Cross is the fourth novel in the series. Malorie was in Edinburgh for a Scottish Book Trust event and Jasmine Fassl took the opportunity to discuss the book with her, as well as asking how it feels to have had one of her books made into a play by the Royal Shakespeare Company.
