INTRODUCTION
Books can provide an excellent starting point for project-based learning and teaching, with good stories providing a range of options for discussion, response and creative approaches for all ages.
Understanding a text’s essential themes, structure and characterisation can encourage students to use a range of critical literacy skills and dovetails nicely as a creative, collaborative, and cross-curricular teaching tool.
The following PowerPoints and accompaning worksheets start with an overview of the novel and then take a closer look at the character of Mr Hyde in order to develop pupils' confidence in reporting back to the class, as well as their investigation and analytical skills, used in searching for clues within the texts and compare how each has been adpated.
