Introduction
A lively introduction from multi-award winning Teacher of the Year David Miller to the collaborative world of WEB 2.0.
The session will provide an insight into the learning and teaching potential of some popular online technologies, including social networks, and offer starting points for immediate classroom use!

CPD Session Content
David will introduce and explain what Web 2.0 technologies are, and then cover a wide range of online tools for both classroom and professional development use covering Collaboaration Tools right through to Timeline Software and Online Presentations.
In adition to discussing the benefits and basics of online networking for teachers, some of the specific tools he'll look a and demonstrate are:
Google Docs
Animoto
Bubblus
Wall Wisher
Time Toast
Wordle
Storybird
Prezi
Wikispaces
Even if you have little or no experience of the above, you will soon be able to effortlessly incorporate these tools into your classroom and practice, and will come awaty from the session with a new zest for, and understanding of, Web 2.0 Technoligies.
About David Miller
Winner of the Guardian Award for UK Teacher of the Year 2008 as well as Winner of Scottish Teacher of the Year 2008, David Miller is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts, a Committee Member FRSA Scotland, a National Teaching Fellow of the UK Teaching Awards and an Associate of Independent Thinking
In adddition, he provides Consultancy with BBC Learning, is currently Co-authoring '21st Century Literacies' with Glasgow University and is also a Member of the Government’s Excellence Group in English, amoungst other acheivements*.
Passionate about teaching teachers to use innovative technologies in the classroom, David is a sought after CPD deliverer speaker, and is very kindly spendingtime with us by delivering a 1 hour training on "The Wonderful Word of Web 2.0 Technologies".
