Online Teacher in Residence was born out of numerous discussions between teachers in Scotland and the Scottish Book Trust.

With current demands on time and resource, many teachers told us that they had trouble accessing CPD and learning opportunities.

To respond to these issues and the ongoing need for high quality resources, Scottish Book Trust is launching Online Teacher in Residence. Through this programme we want to:

build a network of practice for teachers around the country to share their experience and resources
provide high-quality teaching resources and CPD online - accessible wherever you are in the country and for free
work with our two Online Teachers in Residence to investigate models of best practice in creative learning for literature and literacy.
explore practical ways for teachers to work with authors and culture sector organisations to deliver the aims of Curriculum for Excellence

Glow and Learn

We’re working closely with the Glow team at Learning Teaching Scotland and other education contacts across the country to deliver a vibrant online community and resource for teachers in Scotland.
