Overview

Bookbug in Angus is administered and delivered by Angus Libraries, in partnership with Health Visitors and Education.

Bookbug Pack Gifting

Health Visitors gift the Bookbug Baby pack at between 8 – 16 weeks (approx).

Health Visitors gift the Bookbug Toddler packs at health checks at 27 months.

Both packs are also available in libraries where parents who miss out can collect them.

Pirate packs are gifted once a year January/February to all early Years Settings.

Bookbug’s Library Challenge

Bookbug’s Library Challenge, a fun free programme for children aged birth to four, runs in all library branches across Angus during the school summer holidays.  Join your child up and they will receive stickers and certificates in return for making a trip to the library.

Bookbug Sessions

Bookbug Sessions currently run in all Angus branch libraries, led by both library staff.  Materials purchased to enhance these sessions include puppets, baby musical instruments, fabrics, books and Bookbug dolls.

Special Bookbug Sessions are organised for special events and for other groups where appropriate. Visit Angus Council website for more information.
