Scottish Children's Book Awards (formerly Royal Mail Awards)

Voting is now CLOSED, winners will be announced on 23rd February 2012.

Streaming will begin at 1:15pm and the ceremony runs from 1.30pm-3pm. We hope you'll tune in from your classroom or library!

 


 

The Scottish Children's Book Awards are Scotland's largest children's book awards, judged entirely by young people between September 2011 and January 2012  in three age categories:

Bookbug Readers - 0-7 years

Younger Readers - 8-11 year

Older Readers - 12-16 years

To get involved, just follow the five simple steps below:

1. Register your class or book group (registration is now closed)

2. Read the shortlisted books in your age category

3. Discuss the books in and with your class or book group – use the learning resources and the videos

4. Review your favourite book – enter our review competition

5. Vote for your favourite book! (voting is now closed)

Shortlist Announcement: Tuesday 6th September 2011
Voting & Reviewing: September 2011 to January 2012
Voting & Review Competition Deadline: Friday 27th January 2012
Winner Announcement Ceremony: 23rd February 2012
