Awards Ceremony
2009 Awards Ceremony
The 2009 awards ceremony will take place on 24th November 2009 at the Queen’s Hall in Edinburgh. The winners of the Royal Mail Awards for Scottish Children’s Books will be announced and presented with their prizes at the ceremony. If you would like to attend with your pupils please email Chris Newton, chris.newton@scottishbooktrust.com as soon as possible. Seats are limited but we will do our best to accommodate all requests. Seats will only be allocated to registered individuals/groups taking part in the awards.
2008 Awards Ceremony
The 2008 awards ceremony went off with a bang, at the Beach Ballroom in Aberdeen on Tuesday 18th November.
Children from Smithfield Primary and Riverbank Primary school performed dramatisations of the 0-7 and 8-11 books and were follwed by Aiden Turner interviewing, J.A. Henderson, James Jauncey and Elizabeth Laird.
The winning books were announced by Maureen Watt MSP (Minister for Schools and Skills) and the entire show was presented by Kirsty Wark.
