The Scottish Friendly Children's Book Tour
![]() |
The Scottish Friendly Children's Book Tour brings authors and illustrators to a city, town hall or school near you.
We have been touring children's authors and illustrators for 10 years now and have visited every area in Scotland. We bring all these famous authors to schools to talk to you and your friends, sign your books and answer your questions about reading, writing and their own work. Ask your teacher to get in touch with us and we might be able to come to your school soon!
"I loved it. What else can I say? If there's another one I'm going." Emily, St Joseph's Primary.

The Scottish Friendly Children’s Book Tour, run by the Scottish Book Trust, is coming to Argyll & Bute! We are going to visit primary schools all around the region over four days, from the 6th to the 9th October 2008.
The fantastic Chris Mould has been a freelance illustrator since graduating from Leeds Polytechnic in 1991. He lives with his wife and two daughters in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
Chris will be talking about reading, writing and illustration, as well as show the pupils some of his newest work! There will be the opportunity to ask questions about all aspects of a how a book is made as well.
