Tommy Donbavand March 2010
In March we hit the road for our first Scottish Friendly Children's Book Tour of 2010 bringing Scream Street author, Tommy Donbavand to pupils in Inverclyde and East Dunbartonshire.
The events were action-packed, full of screaming, smiles and eager readers. We had a ball as did the pupils whose feedback you can read below.
Tommy has also created a video blog of his tour which you can watcby clicking on the 'Watch Now' button.

"Great - very motivating for the pupils. They have all been reading since the event!"
Tommy’s new series of comedy horror novels, Scream Street, is published by Walker Books in the UK, as well as other major foreign publishers in many territories around the world. He has recently written two books for specialist publisher, Barrington Stoke: Zombie!, published late 2009 and The Uniform in 2010. Tommy spent a year as the writer-in-residence at Seven Stories, the centre for children’s books in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and is very proud to have recently been made the UK’s first RIF Ambassador by Reading Is Fundamental (part of the National Literacy Trust). Tommy writes full-time and lives in Lancashire with his family. He has started to see sleep as a waste of good writing time.
