Cat Clarke - Entangled

We were delighted to have two events with a new Scottish author on the individual events programme recently. We took Cat Clarke to two schools in Edinburgh and Dunfermline to talk to pupils about her new debut novel Entangled. We had two fantastic sessions with Cat and we are looking forward to reading Cat's second novel already! Have a look below to see some of the pictures from the events and to read some feedback.

I really liked meeting Cat Clarke. I thought she was really funny. Her book sounded really interesting. I liked how well she explained it and that it would be very good to be able to see her again. 5/5. Wendy, 13, Dunfermline High School

I did enjoy the Cat Clarke visit. It was very interesting to learn about the stages of writing and publishing a book. Entangled sounds like a very interesting book. Cat also read a little bit from one of her books called Sharks and a little bit from one of her books called Cowboys. It was quite funny because the books were based for children aged 6-7. At the end I got her autograph. The whole thing was interesting and fun, I really enjoyed it. Louise, 12, Dunfermline High School

Author Biography

Cat was born in Zambia and brought up in Edinburgh and Yorkshire, which has given her an accent that tends to confuse people. She’s written non-fiction books about exciting things like cowboys, sharks and pirates, and now writes YA novels. She lives in Edinburgh with a couple of cats, Jem and Scout, who spend their days plotting to spit up furballs at the most inconvenient times. She is the founder of the Lighthouse Literary Agency, an Edinburgh based literary consultancy.
