About

The Scottish Teenage Book Prize celebrates the very best in Scottish teen fiction, and aims to encourage reading for pleasure amongst teenagers. The winning book is voted for entirely by pupils in schools and libraries across Scotland.

On this year's shortlist is The Extinction Trials by S.M. Wilson, Farewell Tour of a Terminal Optimist by John Young and The Rise of Wolves by Kerr Thomson. We recommend that pupils read all three books on the shortlist before casting their vote. You can read the shortlist as part of your library book group, as a class or encourage pupils to take part individually!

If you don't manage to read all three books on the shortlist, pupils can still take part in our Book Trailer and Graphic Novel Competitions

Voting is open now, and closes on 7 February 2019. To register your school or library to vote, just complete our short online form.
