Scottish Friendly Children's Book Tour with Sarah McIntyre

In May 2016 the Scottish Friendly Children's Book Tour visited the Highlands with award winning author and illustrator Sarah McIntyre!

Pupils were very excited when Sarah arrived at their school in her refregierated pug bus rocking one of her signature colourful costumes complete with miniature blue top hat icicles crown.

Sarah read from her latest picture book Pugs of the Frozen North and created a board game journey from the school to the North Pole, illustrated with perils from her story, as well as some weird and terrifying perils of their own!
Pupils had a go a drawing too, creating hundreds of pugs to take part in the great race to the Frozen North!

The sessions were fun and engaging, with the children left in a frenzy of excitement and lots of storyline ideas of their own. A huge thank you to Sarah, her husband and snow expert Stuart aka Professor Snowstorm and all the teachers and pupils who we visited in the Highlands for a fantastic week.
