In March 2018, the Scottish Friendly Children's Book Tour took the former Children’s Laureate Julia Donaldson back on the road as part of our 20th Anniversary Tour celebrations.

These collected resources are designed to be a fun introduction to the work of Julia Donaldson and provide fun activities on some of her best loved books.

Emily Mackenzie's picture book Eric makes a Splash has been shortlisted for the Bookbug Picture Book Prize 2019. You can hear Emily read the story in full in this video, and there's also a fun little activity for your pupils to do at the end.

These resources will be a fantastic help to any teacher of pupils who experience communication difficulties. The symbol sheets will help pupils discuss the three shortlisted titles for the Bookbug Picture Book Prize 2019 and vote for their favourite. There are also activity sheets to help pupils do some of the activities in the main Bookbug Picture Book Prize learning resources.
