Steve Backshall Learning Resources

Encourage your pupils to follow in the footsteps of acclaimed wildlife journalist, adventurer and writer Steve Backshall with these fantastic teaching resources, written by Linda Murray at St. Peter's primary school in Galashiels.

There's a feast of activities here to help your pupils get back to nature, including:

  • Head into the forest to build a shelter and make some tools;
  • Write the 'missing chapter' from Tiger Wars;
  • Design a campaign to raise awareness of tiger poaching.

These resources were initially developed to accompany our Authors Live event with Steve, but you can use them at any time to explore the worlds of wildlife and conservation. Steve's fantastic event is available to watch again in our Watch on Demand section - click here to watch Steve speak about his adventures across more than 100 of the world's countries.
