Phil Earle is an award-winning writer of gripping, fun and often poignant fiction for teenagers and children. Below, you'll find two learning resources: one to explore Phil's Storey Street novels for younger readers, and one to explore his teen titles Being Billy and Heroic.

Storey Street novels: this resource, written by primary teacher Linda Murray, suggests cross-curricular activities for Demolition Dad and Scaredy Cat, Scaredy Cat. Both of these books are funny and touching, looking at the challenges in the lives of two different children and how they overcome them.

Being Billy and Heroic: Influenced by his experience  as a care-worker, Phil writes with powerful honesty about difficult and thought-provoking subject matter. This resource provide a range of activities to inspire discussion around the themes of war and mental health raised in Phil's books Heroic and Being Billy.
