How to Create Book Trailers video series

What is a book trailer?  How can it help you to promote both reading for pleasure and critical reading skills? And most importantly, how do you make one?

Find out in this series by Scottish Book Trust! There is also a comprehensive activity pack to go with the video lessons - scroll down and click the link to download the pack. The pack refers to some of the content from the videos, but you can easily tweak the Word version to be used independently of the videos.

Lesson One features a fantastic book trailer for Marcus Sedgwick's novel The White Crow - click here to see a video of the teacher and pupils explaining how the trailer was made.

There are plenty of exemplar trailers in the packs, but we also asked three secondary schools to produce trailers for the 2013 SCBA shortlist - view the trailers here
