Virtual Writer in Residence

Cathy Forde
Catherine Forde has reached the end of her series as our virtual writer in residence! The final podcast is a bumper edition, supplemented by 12 great author interviews - 6 on video, six written. You can watch or download all Cathy’s brilliant video podcasts here, and print off the accompanying written notes.

We’d love to see any of the work your pupils do for any of Cathy’s writing tasks – get them to submit their writing to teen@scottishbooktrust.com and if we like it we’ll put it on our website.

And now pupils can enter our writing competition to win an e-book reader and a place on Scottish Book Trust's Young Writers Awards scheme - to work with Catherine to develop their writing talents. Download the Task 6 Notes for more information.

Task 6: Endings - Video Introduction

In Task 6 Cathy looks in depth at the challenge of writing endings. Complementing this video we also have two sections of written and video interviews with 12 authors, including Julia Donaldson and Frank Cottrell Boyce, all about endings. Click the links below to see them:
