Application Guidelines
Who can apply?
Support is available to individuals and not-for profit organisations in every part of Scotland to host events or projects with authors. These include:
- Schools
- Libraries
- Community groups
- Arts organisations
- Local festivals
- Hospitals
- Prisons
- Organisations that work with adults and/or children with disabilities
Please be aware that due to extreme pressure on funds we do not give priority to applications from independant schools.
Guidelines
- Applications are accepted through a simple application process
- Organisations who are successful in gaining support decide who they want to work with by using the Live Literature register. Only those on the register are eligible to carry out Live Literature sessions
- Applicants may not apply for sessions featuring authors who have a leading role within the applicant organisation
- There are no funding streams or priorities. All applications will be considered
- Organisations apply for sessions (approximately one hour) and applications are accepted for one or several sessions
- As the scheme is highly oversubscribed, Scottish Book Trust primarily supports well planned applications where the events or project fits within wider activity and has clear benefits
- Applicants should also consider how to evaluate the success of their project
How to apply?
- Apply online using our step by step application form
- If you need assistance with making your application for reasons of disability, please contact Clare Rodgers, 0131 524 0166 clare.rodgers@scottishbooktrust.com
