Review Competition
Click here to send a review
If you are involved in one of the reading groups judging the shortlist for the 2008 Royal Mail Awards, then why not submit a review of one of the shortlisted books? We are running a competition to find the best reviews of shortlisted books. The best review in each category will win a visit, for their class, of one of the winning authors or illustrators and YOU will win a £25 worth of Waterstone's book vouchers which will be presented at the Royal Mail Awards ceremony on 18 November.
What should your review include?
How would you describe your favourite book on the shortlist to get a friend interested in reading it? There are no strict guidelines but here are some suggestions: you might like to include in your review what you liked about it, what you didn't like about it, what your favourite part was, and, if you are going to vote for it, why you think it should win.
English, Gaelic and Scots reviews welcome!
Reviews may be written in English, Gaelic, or Scots, although if you are a Gaelic speaker, or a teacher of a Gaelic medium class, you may be interested in our Gaelic Prize ...
Deadline
Please submit your reviews by 24 October. Winners will be notified by 10 November. If you are a winner you will be invited to attend the book awards ceremony, where you will be awarded your prize.
