The Scottish Friendly Children's Book Tour

 Scottish Friendly

The Scottish Friendly Children's Book Tour brings authors and illustrators to a city, town hall or school near you.

We have been touring children's authors and illustrators for 10 years now and have visited every area in Scotland. We bring all these famous authors to schools to talk to you and your friends, sign your books and answer your questions about reading, writing and their own work. Ask your teacher to get in touch with us and we might be able to come to your school soon!

"I loved it. What else can I say? If there's another one I'm going." Emily, St Joseph's Primary.

Michael Rosen is one of the UK's finest poets for children and has been instrumental in opening up children's access to poetry in ordinary language that children actually use. He is the author of many collections of poems for children including Quick, Let's Get Out of Here and Michael Rosen's Book of Very Silly Poems. He was named as the 2007-2009 Children's Laureate this year, in recognition of his substantial contribution to children's literature.
