Andrew Lane - Young Sherlock
Think you know Sherlock Holmes? Think again. In September, Scottish Book Trust brought schools in Edinburgh a self-confessed Sherlock Holmes addict, Andrew Lane. During two sessions with hundreds of pupils, we discovered the boy and the cases that turned the Young Sherlock into the detective.
We also discovered how Andrew created Young Sherlock’s childhood using clues that Arthur Conan Doyle left in his short-stories and novels and how he persuaded the Conon Doyle Estate to authorise the series.
Set in Victorian England the book deals with the decisions that Sherlock makes and the subsequent consequences and discoveries that he makes.
The adventure is only just beginning...
