Join Theatre Gu Leòr for a sneak preview of Màiri Sìne Chaimbeul’s debut play, Cèilidh, and a chance to chat to the writer about the challenges of putting her stories onstage for the first time. Touring Scotland in March 2018, Cèilidh is a contemporary theatrical take on traditional storytelling, music and song. Màiri Sìne will discuss the process of becoming a playwright and her experiences of working with award-winning dramaturg Lynda Radley, before opening up to questions from the audience. The event will be in Gaelic.

What makes a great character? Is it how they look, what they say, what they do? Join writer and theatre artist, Catriona Lexy Campbell, for an afternoon of storytelling and drama where you'll get to hear about some very unusual characters, explore what makes a memorable character, and even create your own. Catriona will work alongside an illustrator to bring your characters to life; be they heroes, villains, monsters or just your average kid. The only limit is your imagination! -The workshop will be in Gaelic and will be suitable for ages 7-12 and their adults.
