Days like this by Connor McLaughlin

When I went to Alton towers with the scouts I didn't realise it because my mum and dad said we were going to look at castles and it was all timed and we had to leave at 7. so I got my dad up at 5.3Oam and we did my paper round up the scheme or to give it its full name LEGO LAND, we were racing up and down the scheme hopping in and out of the car delivering papers and doing skids, wheel spins, even almost a reverse 180, going sideways and having a real laugh as all the roads were empty.

We raced home the whole family was going with the rest of the scouts. When we got to Caledonian car park I realised what was going on and I jumped in the minibus with all of the boy scouts in it and set off. On the way it was long and tiring sitting in the minibus listening to music. But at the back of the bus they decided to nick Chris's speakers and plug their, I pod in to them and blasted out the music there was everything from dance to slow rock.

We had a brief stop for breakfast and carried on to Alton towers.

When we got there everyone was so excited and rushing to get in. then we got in and split up into groups all of the boy scouts went in a group without our scout shirts on, I got my lunch off my parents and my group set off on the first ride the spin ball whizzer.

On the way there I could smell chips, the disgusting smell of fags and the sweet smell of candy floss.

After waiting in the extremely long queue we got on the spinball whizzer, you sit in a 4 seat cart thing with 2 seats either side of the square and it was a mass of g-force tearing your face apart I loved it.

We went on a few more and walked about but nothing special happened until we went on a ride called AIR it was A M A Z I N G, you sit in then the whole seat turns 90 degrees and your facing the ground so you feel your going to knee your self in the head but your feet are clamped to the seat and it loops round and your facing the sky the a few feet away from the ground it was brill and that is what made my day , and the story I choose to write for days like this.
