I'm a doctor working in the NHS in Edinburgh and I've done lots of medical writing. I took up writing for children some years ago and I now work part-time to allow me to write more. Many of my stories are set at sea reflecting the fact I spend all my spare time on the water, in my old wooden yacht.
About writer's events and projects:
Readings followed by question and answer sessions and discussion for children aged eight to twelve. I can do evening events in Central Scotland. Any event further afield would have to be during the day on a Friday.
