Biography:
Born Glasgow, Scotland, 1972. Would eat anything and resembled a currant bun. Fond of drawing, the Bionic Man and precariously swinging backwards on chairs. Graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 1994 with 1st Class Degree in Illustration and the MacMillan prize. Spent two years in London cultivating exotic image of scribbling Scotsman abroad. Returned to Glasgow. Spends time illustrating picture books, watching cartoons, cat juggling and precariously swinging backwards on chairs. Has illustrated nearly a hundred children's books so far but could only be bothered to write nine of them. Has been given quite a few nice awards but no Tony as of yet. I mostly do events for children around the ages of 5-8 at schools and book festivals. I also do the odd Adult Masterclass and talks about how to get started for Illustration students. Available Scotland-wide - within reason!
