Biography:
I was born in Glasgow in 1964 and have been writing all my life. While living abroad with my husband I took up writing professionally and had many short stories published in UK magazines. After returning to Scotland in 2001, following the birth of my children, I decided to concentrate on writing Young Adult novels.
About writer's work:
My first full length novel for young adult and adults, Bad Faith, was published in October 2008 by Strident Publishing. My second, Crossing The Line, will be published by Bloomsbury in April 2009. I write educational fiction for secondary Key Stage Three – Life of the Party, Mind’s Eye and Sea Fever are published by Evans Brothers, as are short stories Rockface and The Changeling (in their crime and science fiction collections). I am a writer for highly successful book packagers Hothouse, who created Darkside – I am currently writing the Darke Academy series for teens, to be published by Hodder. I’m presently working on a second book for Bloomsbury, as well as finishing a quartet of teen fantasy books set in the Scottish Highlands.
