David Ian Neville’s writing credits include, 'Inside' BBC Radio 4; ‘Kilbreck’ BBC Scotland; storylines for Lynda La Plante's TV series, 'The Governor; the award winning TV plays, 'Martha & The Audition' for STV; dramatisations of Joan Lingard’s novel’s ‘Twelfth Day of July' & ‘Across the Barricades' for Tag Theatre Co. , and The New Victoria Theatre, Stoke-on-Trent; the Fringe First Award winning play ' Exile' - Edinburgh Festival & Bush Theatre, London; 'A Deafening Silence’ Byre, St Andrews; ' The Heart of the City', Proteus Theatre Co. Basingstoke. His latest theatre play, ‘Dough’ will be produced at Òran Mór, Glasgow in March 2008. He has also written and performed shows for children including, ‘The Book Safari’; ‘Clown On The Road’; and ‘The Life & Times of Robert Louis Stevenson’. Other work includes poems, stories and plays for BBC Schools Radio.
David works as a Radio Drama Producer for BBC Scotland producing and developing plays and series for Radio 4, Radio 3 and Radio Scotland. His production credits include, ‘The Archers’; ‘Island Blue’ & ‘Shuttle Diplomacy’ for Radio 4; ‘Black Watch’ & ‘Three Five Silly Twerp’ for Radio 3; ‘Lynton Bay’ & ‘King of Hearts’ for Radio Scotland; and ‘Station Road’ for Radio Wales.

I have devised projects for a wide range of ages, working in libraries, schools, community centres, art centres, theatres and prisons. I enjoy being involved in cross art initiatives. I am interested in human rights; the individual and society; and combating prejudice of all kinds.
About writer's events and projects:
I can devise and run writing & drama workshops/projects for young people and adults. Workshops or talks can focus on writing for theatre and radio and my own work as a playwright/scriptwriter. Please note my availability is limited.
