Charlie James lives in Edinburgh with her husband, two children, a dog, a large pile of ironing and a garden full of weeds. She has previously worked in the world of publishing as an editor and a literary agent. She was inspired to write by her children and their friends.
About writer's work:
FISH is the first of what Charlie James hopes will be many novels for young
people. Fish has been awarded the Fantastic Book Award 2007 by
Lancashire Libraries and has been nominated for the Phoenix Lambeth
Book Award. Charlie has also been asked by Camden Council to do a talk
on FISH to celebrate the Queen's 80th birthday! She has also recently
toured in Essex and London.
About writer's events and projects:
I would be delighted to take part in any type of event to do with children and books. I love talking and have a stock of truly terrible fish jokes that I enjoy using when I talk about my novel, FISH. I am also happy to talk to parents, teachers and librarians.
