Angus Dunn lives in the Highlands of Scotland and has been writing since he was a child. After several years spent travelling, he started writing with serious intent about thirty years ago. He hasn’t stopped. His poetry and short stories have appeared in many literary magazines and a collection of his short stories and a novel have been published. He has held several residencies over the last few years.About writer's work:
Angus Dunn writes poetry, short and long fiction. He is fascinated primarily by the power of the story: how it works, how it pulls in the reader and what can be done with it. There is sometimes a fantastic element in his work, and sometimes there isn’t. He has experimented with many literary forms, including song-writing, screenplays and oral story-telling. He won the Robert Louis Stevenson Award in 1995 and the Neil Gunn Short Story competition in 2002. About writer's events and projects:
He is available to do readings, workshops and short residencies, mainly with adults. He is happy to work with writers of any level of competence/experience. Recent workshops have included an introduction to Poetry and Place, with a writers’ group, and a series of workshops within the Cromarty Masterclass sessions.Language:
