Robert Dodds Event

Robert Dodds came along to Sandeman House, home of Scottish Book Trust, to scare children with supernatural and exciting yarns from his latest book The Murrian.

Robert spoke to the children about Mad Scientists, Giant ants (GiANTS as the joke went), mermaids and strange golfers.

Pupil Comments!

I liked going to the Scottish Book Trust because I liked learning about the books that Robert Dodds had written. I also liked hearing about how he got his ideas for writing his stories. I also enjoyed listening to Robert Dodds read his story. I liked whern he told his jokes. Picture: A bay with waves and rocks.

I liked the way the story comes together in the different strands, and the way that you explained it. The descriptions in the book were really marvellous. All of the different character are really original, the first chapter was really spooky. I think that I would really like all of the books. The pictures from the internet were really good and the jokes were funny. I think that all of the covers would be really attractive in a book shop. I liked the golf ball.
