Task 4: SETTING - Place/location

SIMPLE TASK

Wherever you are right now, close your eyes and LISTEN, SMELL, FEEL (EVEN TASTE IF YOU CAN) everything you are experiencing.

Make a list – you might even dictate it into your phone.

 

FUN TASK

This is a paired task. Let someone you trust (!!!) lead you through school premises blindfold. Inside and out. Notice the difference between how you feel normally and now. What are you more aware of? You could dictate what you experience into your phone/tape machine to make your responses more immediate.

 

EXTENSION WORK

1. Now go to a place somewhere by yourself, either on school premises or out-with school. Again list everything you hear, smell, feel as well as see.

Do you have any ideas of a story that your setting might fit?

 

2. Describe a place that you can recall vividly in your head.

What kind of story would it make a good setting for?
