Crescendo by Becca FitzpatrickCrescendo is a book with twists and turns you do not expect. Nora Grey is thrust into a world of deceit and betrayal. Nothing could prepare her for her break up with her boyfriend and her mother’s lies. She doesn’t realise what's going to happen.

I thought the plot line was excellent but at times a little bit confusing. I enjoyed the characters personality but couldn’t quite understand the motives behind some of their actions as I have not read the first book of the series. Rixon was my favourite character as he could be sly and fraudulent at times and everyone loves a good bad guy! My least favourite character was Patch because I blame him for the problems in his and Nora’s relationship. He should have told her the truth no matter what and trusted her to look after herself rather than dragging her out of places even when he wasn’t her Guardian Angel.

To be honest I was enthralled with the book because of the different stories within it. I liked the family part of the story related to the romantic side of the story making it a bit like a mystery. I think this book is for teenagers and adults as it is a bit too complicated for a child to comprehend. Also I think it can be for a girl or boy but mainly for girls I have to say. The genre of the book would probably be dark romance but it does have murder mystery and a bit of action.

My overall impression was this book was excellent and complicated. I would greatly recommend this to anyone and mainly people who know they love dark romances. The only fault I can find is sometimes I became bored I’m sorry to say. I think you would love to own this book or get it from your local library.
