Welcome to Book Talk!
This month we have two featured titles; one the debut novel from a new Scottish writer, the other a multi-million selling hit that you will undoubtedly have heard of, maybe even read already.
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is the first part of a bestselling dystopian trilogy, primarily aimed at Young Adult readers. On the podcast Paul Gallagher is joined by Holyrood High School librarian Rachel McCabe and three teenage school pupils Joanne, Lewis and Roselinta to discuss it.
The Echo Chamber by Luke Williams is a dense and imaginative fictional memoir, written from the perspective of an aging woman, living in an old house in Edinburgh and recalling her childhood in 1950s Nigeria. Rachel and Paul give their verdicts on the podcast.
