Bookstart Rhymetimes

Bookstart Rhymetime Bookstart Rhymetime

Bookstart Rhymetimes, held in libraries and other community venues across Scotland, are fun, free, friendly sessions for parents and children aged birth to four, incorporating books, rhymes, singing and play.

An extension of the Bookstart programme, they complement the gifting of the three Bookstart packs to all children in Scotland, and highlight the Bookstart message by encouraging parents to share stories and songs with babies in a fun, exciting way.

Many more parents and babies across Scotland now have access to these high quality sessions, thanks to a training programme recently launched by Bookstart and The Scottish Arts Council.

The Training Project has been developed as an extension of the existing Bookstart Rhymetimes programme, and is intended to roll Bookstart Rhymetimes out on a national scale by providing in-depth training, resources and Bookstart Rhymetime toolkits to local authorities throughout Scotland.
