Ten Red Apples

Ten red apples grow on a tree (both hands high)

Five for you and five for me (dangle one hand and then the other)

Let us shake the tree just so (shake body)

And ten red apples will fall below (hands fall)

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10!

Cuddle up with your baby, and sing the song. Babies love hearing your voice, so sing it a few times. If baby is on your lap, you can do simple actions with both hands

Facing your child with him/her on your lap, try using your fingers as the ‘apples’ then encourage your little one to use his/her hands too

Introduce the concept of louder and quieter by singing softer and softer as an apple falls below
