Bookbug Book of the Month: My Day: A Book of Actions
My Day: A Book of Actions by Alice Melvin
My Day follows a young child and family through a typical day, from waking up to settling down with the perfect bedtime story.
'I love the very simple story with only one word on each page – waking, playing, helping, waving – but with lots to talk about in the eye catching paper-cut illustrations. I also love that it shows a dad spending the day with baby while the mum goes out and the daughter goes to school. This is rarely depicted in picture books so it’s nice to see. All in all, a lovely board book about daily routines, perfect for babies and very young children.'
